Provide valuable data analytics to the Maintenance Components & Hydraulics team within RISM to enable the team to develop and execute category strategies and deliver significant cost savings to Caterpillar.
Requirements
- Applies basic statistical tools to interpret business results
- Identifies common errors and misinterpretations in data
- Explains sample size, distributions, and standard deviation
- Generates and interprets foundational statistical outputs
- Maintains precision while processing large data sets
- Applies ML tools for tasks like search optimization
- Uses R and Python for statistical modeling and data processing
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scorecard and reports by consolidating data from multiple sources.
- Directing the data gathering, data mining, and data processing processes in huge volume; creating appropriate data models.
- Exploring, promoting, and implementing semantic data capabilities through Natural Language Processing, text analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Leading to define requirements and scope of data analyses; presenting and reporting possible business insights to management using data visualization technologies.
- Conducting research on data model optimization and algorithms to improve effectiveness and accuracy on data analyses.
- Develop cost reporting framework to review monthly results
- Consolidate all cost savings activities to provide director and strategy manager with visibility and actions to accelerate
