The Chrysalis construction project requires a procurement engineering organization to manage the generation of commercial grade dedication (CGD) plans, seismic and environmental qualification plans, and receipt inspection activities for procured items.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial grade dedication (EPRI NP5652).
- Understanding of ASME NQA-1 requirements.
- Experience in equipment qualification.
- Understanding of nuclear facility principles and operation.
- Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft 365 software.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, review, approval, and execution of commercial grade dedication plans, seismic qualification plans, and environmental qualification plans.
- Lead receipt inspection processes for items purchased for safety-related and non-safety-related applications.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained and perform work in accordance with SHINE quality standards for dedication, qualification, and receipt inspection activities.
- Mentor staff on qualification processes for commercial items.
- Mentor staff on receipt inspection activities as part of quality receipt inspector (QRI) certification process.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and specifications during dedication and receipt inspection activities.
- Interface with Engineering, Commercial Grade Dedication Lab, and Supply Chain groups early in the procurement process to determine procurement strategies.
Other
- A bachelor’s degree and at least fifteen (15) years of nuclear industry experience preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Ability to develop strong intercompany relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
- Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
