Gates Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer to support their Fluid Power or Power Transmission division by assisting with customer inquiries and ensuring proper application and selection of products.
Requirements
- Analyze application requirements, evaluate options, and recommend appropriate components to ensure systems meet performance and reliability standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to customers and clients by assisting with the proper application and selection of fluid power and/or power transmission products through email and phone communications.
- Analyze application requirements, evaluate options, and recommend appropriate components to ensure systems meet performance and reliability standards.
- Contribute to projects and longer-term departmental initiatives with minimal guidance from senior engineers.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with proven ability to prioritize resources and meet project deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, supported by a technical mindset and analytical approach.
- Willingness to travel for extended training opportunities, customer engagements, or site visits as needed.
- Willingness to relocate in the future to support long-term career growth within Gates.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
