Anduril Industries is looking to develop advanced air and ground systems with extreme reliability and autonomy, requiring a hardware architect to design and manage the next generation of Robotic command and control systems.
Requirements
- Previous work on systems architecture of commercial drones or UAVs or equivalent relevant experience driving complex electro-mechanical assemblies
- Proven experience developing electromechanical system models to inform design, operation, and troubleshooting of complex subsystems
- Experience with simulation and rapid development to drive complex electro-mechanical development
- Experience with integration and production through the entire product lifecycle
- Knowledge of sensing, compute, communications, powertrain, energy storage and management, etc.
- Experience with DFM and manufacturing considerations
- Experience with validation planning and execution
Responsibilities
- Work with product management and business development teams to distill a CONOP and identify leading drivers of success
- Define the architecture topology that best meets the CONOP, and understand key trades that are made through simulation and/or exploratory prototyping techniques
- Create and manage systems and subsystem requirements
- Select components for complex electro-mechanical systems on the Anduril UAS to deliver against the architecture
- Prioritize and develop clear engineering strategies and accompanied resource plans
- Incorporate DFM and other manufacturing considerations on the way to high-quality mass production
- Create and carry out a validation plan for the end to end system
Other
- BS/MS in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Leadership experience shipping high-volume consumer electronic products in a senior or architect-level role
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to work in a hands-on fashion
- Ability to support and field in a hands-on fashion
