American Products team is looking to assemble equipment in working order with no defects and ready to ship to the customer
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend blue prints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience, in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Must have the mechanical aptitude to assemble products with high quality
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Excellent attention to detail
- Shows concern for quality and practices continuous improvement
- Ability to use air, battery, and small hand tools
Responsibilities
- Lifts, positions, and assembles both metal and plastic products using air, battery, and small hand tools, as required
- Packages finished products (boxes, palletizes, and wraps)
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
- Test finished products for defects
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Other
- High school diploma or GED preferred; not required
- Ability to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties
- Requires the interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with wide variety of internal personnel
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; crouch and kneel
- Must wear safety glasses and steel toe boots
