Humanetics is looking for a Mid-level technician to assemble and validate test fixtures and equipment for crash test dummies and related safety systems, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
Requirements
- Use of accelerometers, load cells, displacement transducers, PC based data acquisition systems as well as knowledge of basic physics; electronics and computer literacy are required.
- read basic blue prints, submit drawing corrections, establish BOMs, recommend design changes, and practice simple electronic wiring capabilities.

- A math aptitude to solve algebraic equations, setup tests and instrumentation, collect data, taking and recording accurate measurements, and strict attention to detail are a necessity.
Responsibilities
- Assemble test fixtures according to print for production orders.
- Evaluate and test fixtures prior to shipment.
- Wiring transducers for use in testing and must be able to troubleshoot transducer problems.
- Performs experimental or developmental testing according to specifications set by the Engineering staff.
- Perform scheduled equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Visually checking parts to make sure they are correct.
- Inspect and prepare final assembly products for shipment
Other
- Two year certificate from a college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Assembly work in a manufacturing environment; where blue print reading is required.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs, using hand tools - such as wrenches, torque wrenches, and screw drivers is a must.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
