Assembling and validating test fixtures and equipment for critical environments, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations (NHTSA) and delivering precision tools to enable customers to answer critical questions and empower decisions that drive performance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic physics.
  • Electronics and computer literacy.
  • Ability to read basic blue prints.
  • Simple electronic wiring capabilities.
  • Basic data entry skills.
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Ability to solve algebraic equations.
  • Ability to setup tests and instrumentation, collect data, take and record accurate measurements.
  • Assembly work in a manufacturing environment where blue print reading is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble test fixtures according to print for production orders.
  • Evaluate and test fixtures prior to shipment.
  • Perform standard production assembly of test dummies.
  • Perform standard production certification testing according to NHTSA regulations.
  • Wire transducers for use in testing and troubleshoot transducer problems.
  • Perform experimental or developmental testing according to specifications set by the Engineering staff.
  • Perform scheduled equipment maintenance and calibrations.

Other

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of this organization.
  • Two year certificate from a college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs, using hand tools - such as wrenches, torque wrenches, and screw drivers is a must.
