Dropbox is looking to reimagine how people work through simple, secure, AI-powered solutions and needs a Product & Brand Communications Lead to champion its brand positioning and strategic narrative through product storytelling, executive platforms, and media opportunities.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years in communications, with strong experience in product PR and brand storytelling—preferably in tech, SaaS, or productivity tools
- Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives on solving problems, taking initiative, and can independently drive strategy and execution forward without needing perfect conditions
- Proven ability to own and scale strategic narratives across multiple audiences and channels, guiding messaging strategy from concept to launch
- Strong media relationships, with a track record of securing high-impact coverage
- A natural cross-functional collaborator who’s equally comfortable with PMs, designers, executives, and creatives as well as coordinating with regional communications teams
- A thoughtful and empowering leader who brings out the best in others—able to guide and motivate a team while fostering a culture of excellence, trust, and collaboration
- Experience in both in-house and agency communications roles, providing a mix of strategic vision and executional agility
Responsibilities
- Lead external communications strategies for product announcements, launches, and updates—partnering closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Brand teams to ensure consistency across our external channels
- Champion Dropbox’s brand positioning and strategic narrative through product storytelling, executive platforms, and media opportunities
- Own the creation of messaging frameworks and press materials that bring Dropbox products to life
- Cultivate relationships with top-tier tech and business media
- Serve as a strategic advisor and coach to product and executive spokespeople
- Lead and inspire a small but high-performing team—setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and creating a supportive environment that encourages creative, strategic work
- Measure and report on communication impact, adjusting approach based on insights and market trends
