Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking a Product Compliance Engineer to ensure product compliance with industry standards for Energy Products

Requirements

  • Familiar with one or more of the following: UL583, UL2271, UL2580, UL2267, NOM and IEC 62619
  • Experience with technical documentation such as BOM, schematics, and drawings
  • Familiarity with phase gate development processes
  • Familiarity with Product data management PDM/PLM system
  • Competent in applicable PC applications
  • Experience in Energy Products compliance with the ability to research and interpret regulations in North America as well as other countries

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing a proactive systems engineering approach to problem solving
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams to assess product compliance
  • Serve as main point of contact for teams involved in Energy Product compliance and regulatory reporting for industrial warehouse products
  • Track regulatory compliance changes. Understand and communicate potential impact to Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) products
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Manager, engineering, and development teams to ensure compliance is implemented through project lifecycles for TMHNA products
  • Respond to compliance enquiries from internal and external customers
  • Stay current with global and domestic standards and regulations, collaborating with colleagues in the United States, Japan, and Europe

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering - Preferred in Electrical, Electrical Systems or mechanical
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support compliance activities
  • Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience
