FlexGen is seeking an experienced Product Counsel to join their growing legal group to handle commercial contracts, compliance, governance, and other corporate matters related to energy storage projects and services.
Requirements
- Substantial experience representing developers with respect to SaaS and other technology services
- Experience with battery storage projects preferred
- At least three years of sophisticated technology transaction and/or intellectual property prosecution experience in a major law firm preferred
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with data privacy and security
- Experience with regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and analyze broad range of complex technology services contracts
- Provide technology, business development, and other teams with timely and quality legal advice and support
- Support and manage intellectual property portfolio
- Monitor and support ongoing compliance activities
- Minimize the need for outside counsel
- Other duties as assigned
Other
- Minimum of five years of experience practicing law in the technology space
- Membership in good standing in at least one state bar
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Bachelors degree or comparable background in engineering, computer science, data science, applied mathematics, or similar field strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote work environment
