DICK'S Sporting Goods is looking to solve business problems through innovative solutions and create transformational experiences for their customers (Athletes) and employees (Team Members) by hiring a Product Design Intern.
Requirements
- Passionate about user-centered research and design and promoting empathy and understanding when creating product experiences
- Strong curiosity when it comes to using new tools, adopting new technology, and learning new Product/UX methods that will progress professional development
- Dynamic written and verbal communication style, as well as the ability to communicate cross-functionally and vertically throughout the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A digital portfolio that demonstrates user-centered research and design practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product designers to develop skills to formulate strategic design decisions during all phases of the product development life cycle
- Effectively balance applying creative ideation to business challenges to build intuitive, easy-to-use products
- Conduct research discovery through primary and secondary methods – including, but not limited to user ecosystem mapping, interviews, journey mapping, surveys, usability testing, competitive analysis, and more
- Analyze research data and articulate findings through effective storytelling amongst technology and business partners

- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree
- Strong verbal communication skills to read and write reports, as well as communicate cross-functionally and vertically throughout the organization
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
