Requirements
- Functional skills in CAD, especially Solid Works
- Subject matter expert in mechanical engineering and design
- Maintain broad knowledge of product design, manufacturing and assembly techniques
- Possess strong research and analysis skills
- Ability to read, interpret and communicate customer specifications and industry standards
- Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions
- A strong understanding of project management principles and software tools
Responsibilities
- Develop new products optimized for Millerbernd capabilities while serving the needs of the market
- Enhance designs of existing products, optimizing Millerbernd capabilities
- Consolidate designs to limit variability
- AASHTO knowledgebase resource
- Technical drafting support
- Responsible for day-to-day development and project management of new products, APL’s, QPL’s and specified products, as well as communication with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure successful project execution is met
- Complete design analysis, driving standardization and efficiency into the market development process

- This role is responsible for multiple projects driving strategic, profitable growth through new product development and existing product improvements.
- This role includes direct interaction with a broad range of internal senior, technical and functional leadership as well as our customers’ teams, to include Departments of Transportation, Specifying Engineers, Cities, Counties, and Municipalities.
- Ensure that projects are on schedule, on scope and on budget
- Lead project teams to ensure the quality of project deliverables matches the business strategy
- Identify risks (cost, quality, schedule) to project deliverables, clearly communicate those risks to stakeholders and develop plans to minimize those risks
