Managing the development and implementation process for connectors (e.g. USB, HDMI, Power, Lightning, etc.) for a variety of Apple products, driving day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives and focusing on mechanical engineering design, development planning and validation.

Requirements

  • Experience and familiarity with consumer electronic industry
  • Detailed knowledge of product development processes and strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience interfacing with product design, operations, cross-functional teams and managing international vendors
  • Combined experience in project management and mechanical engineering delivering products comprised of various materials and high esthetic quality

Responsibilities

  • managing the design and development of connectors (e.g. USB, HDMI, Power, Lightning, etc.) for a variety of Apple products
  • driving day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives and focusing on mechanical engineering design, development planning and validation
  • Create and maintain project development schedules
  • Manage resources effectively to execute projects on schedule
  • Prioritize across multiple programs with various levels of complexity
  • Implement schedule/risk mitigations and drive timely issue resolution
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key stakeholders for decision making

Other

  • BS ME degree or equivalent required, MBA nice to have
  • Several years of project management experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and leadership skills
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
