Meta is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead a team of designers in creating exceptional experiences that meet the needs of our users. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the strategy, operations, and communications that guide the team in building high-quality products.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Product Design
- 3+ years of design leadership experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership
- 6+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, content, data science and user research teams
- Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking with the experience developing product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to people and the company
- Experience designing for hardware products and new interaction models
- Experience working in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality environments
- User Interface/Interaction development experience in a 3D product
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a talented team of product designers and leaders that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill sets
- Responsible for overall team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, and building an environment of high quality design
- Lead the user experience of our products in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content designers
- Be a key contributor to the organization's strategic direction
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable products for our users
- Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly communicating goals and strategy
- Experience building and shipping applications or software across a variety of platforms
