Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta) is looking to build the next evolution in social technology by moving beyond 2D screens toward immersive experiences like augmented and virtual reality. This role will explore, prototype, and build experiences that define the future of how people interact in AR/VR.
Requirements
- Building interactive AR/VR prototypes in Unity using C
- Rapid prototyping using real-time engines or game development platforms
- Creating high-fidelity visual and interactive design prototypes
- Conducting and integrating findings from user research (qualitative and quantitative)
- Applying interaction design principles with expertise in HMI/HCI
- Prototyping cross-device user experiences, including interactions across wearable, mobile, and desktop platforms
- Integrating AI-driven features (e.g., natural language, voice, or gesture AI systems) into user interfaces
Responsibilities
- Work on the cutting edge of Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences.
- Explore, prototype, and build experiences that define the future of how people interact in AR/VR.
- Define and synthesize user requirements.
- Help establish design processes to align cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to strategic decisions, working with engineering and research teams.
- Design and create user experience prototypes and individually contribute to the feature set.
- Work with user research to user test and iterate on the prototypes.
Other
- Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Design Research, or a closely related field, and 5 years of experience in a design prototyping or interaction design role focused on AR/VR or wearable computing technologies
- Leading cross-functional multidisciplinary teams and demonstrating design leadership
- Give and solicit feedback from others to raise the quality and craftsmanship of the product.
- Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers, and content designers, overseeing the implementation of the user experience.
- Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
