Cummins Inc. is looking for a Product Design Technician - Level IV to join their Engineering team in Jamestown, NY, to elevate product quality, ensure drawing and model integrity, mentor designers, and evaluate engineering risks.
Requirements

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, casting, welding, forming, etc.)
- Practical troubleshooting of equipment, test rigs, or prototypes
Responsibilities
- Apply specialized design knowledge to elevate product quality.
- Ensure drawing and model integrity from concept to release.
- Create assemblies and concept models that ensure seamless fit and function.
- Analyze and validate designs using cutting-edge tools.
- Evaluate engineering risks to strengthen product reliability.
- Produce solid models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials that clearly communicate design intent across teams and meet all relevant standards.
- Track and control design changes from concept to obsolescence, maintaining the integrity of product baselines throughout.
