Mimecast is looking for a Product Designer to help make cybersecurity simple, effective, and accessible by designing engaging product experiences that simplify complex tasks for organizations.
Requirements
- Practical knowledge of product design principles and processes, ideally gained in a technical or regulated environment.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a willingness to learn new systems (e.g. Jira).
- An interest in user research and a passion for designing accessible, user-friendly products.
Responsibilities
- Design Engaging Product Experiences: Apply your practical knowledge to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that make complex tasks simple and intuitive.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate with contacts inside and outside your immediate team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Work with product managers, engineers, and other designers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support Research & Validation: Participate in user research and testing to inform and validate your design decisions.
- Communicate & Document: Clearly explain your design thinking and document your work using collaboration tools, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Contribute to Team Goals: Work under moderate supervision to set objectives for your own job area, supporting the team's operational targets and having some impact on departmental results.
- Adapt & Improve: Identify and address changes within your own job area, helping the team respond to evolving needs and priorities.
