GMM Pfaudler US Inc is looking for a Product Design Engineer to handle the design and drafting of original equipment and aftermarket projects, converting customer requirements into detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and bills of materials for highly corrosion-resistant pressure equipment.
Requirements
- Proficient in 3D modeling and drawing creation using SolidWorks.
- Two (2) years minimum experience in 3D modeling required.
- Any exposure to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes is a plus.
- Familiarity with instrumentation typically used in the chemical process industry is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret 2D drawings.
- Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
- Mechanical design for the interaction of parts
Responsibilities
- Utilize 2D AutoCAD for maintenance of legacy product families.
- Generate 3D models with SolidWorks within Pfaudler standard practice.
- Create 2D drawings of component level parts and sub-assemblies generated from 3D solid models.
- Generate engineering bills of materials and product structures within an ERP system.
- Utilize a Product Data Management System for control of engineering data including associated workflows.
- Application of shop fabrication methods such as rolling, welding and machining operations in design creation.
- Proper weld symbol creation and specification in accordance with AWS standards.

- This position is 100% in-office in our Rochester, NY facility.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Five (5) years related experience and an A.A.S. degree in a technical field.
- One (1) to (3) years related experience and a B.S. or B.T. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understand drawing formats, numbering systems, submittals, and revisions.
