Datadog is seeking a Product Designer to help shape the future of our Database Monitoring (DBM) products. You'll work closely with our Senior Product Designer and cross-functional partners to design tools that empower database administrators to quickly resolve issues, optimize performance, and monitor key health metrics. You'll also support application developers in identifying and improving slow or inefficient queries.
Requirements
- You have 4+ years of experience in digital product design, with familiarity or strong interest in the platform/software delivery/observability/security industries/
- Your portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications.
- You have a solid sense of research and analytical skills, solving users' problems and needs.
- Attentive to details, you use prototyping tools proficiently to visualize your designs throughout your process (e.g. Figma, Principle, Framer)
- You understand systems thinking and component-based design patterns
Responsibilities
- Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
- See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
- Be the expert in your product area, collaborating and enabling designers on the team to do their best work
- Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how your designs will be built
