STX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and refine innovative sporting goods across hard and soft goods categories, impacting products used by athletes globally.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or Fusion 360.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, compression molding, and composite layups.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and material testing.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or similar simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, sewing, machining, etc.).
  • Understanding of sporting goods standards and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and refine new products to meet STX performance, durability, and cost targets.
  • Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms.
  • Conduct and support mechanical, material, and performance testing; analyze data to drive iterative improvements.
  • Research and evaluate new materials and manufacturing methods for both hard and soft goods.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including specifications, test reports, and revision histories.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality, performance, and sustainability initiatives across the STX product portfolio.

Other

  • 0–5 years of experience in product design or mechanical engineering (sporting goods or consumer products preferred).
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • A genuine passion for sports, performance, and innovation.
  • Experience collaborating with international suppliers and testing laboratories.
