Requirements
- Knowledge of food and beverage technology, ingredient functionality and principles of food safety
- Analytical skills
- Strong understanding of experimental design and control of variables
- Culinary experience, recipe development, processing experience, product development experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support projects with guidance, across various food platforms, that concepts created meet the briefs.
- Utilize data, trends and insights to create and translate culinary concepts into food recipes and/or products that can be manufactured to deliver product and operational requirements.
- Apply technical knowledge to manage low complexity manufacturing trials, including writing of trial protocol, summaries and product specifications, seeking guidance when needed.
- Contributes to decision making by using data and information from multiple sources to formulate recommendations and inform on level of risk, unknowns and options.
- Utilizes logic and learnings for basic problem solving, navigates formal and informal channels cross-functionally and with vendors to support the resolution of issues with guidance.
- Provides clear written and oral communication to convey ideas, insights and project updates and achieves understanding of technical issues by non-technical partners, with guidance.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and collaborate, influence and support own team and cross-functional peers.
