Arthrex is looking to supplement its Medical Education initiative by growing its 3DAnatomy initiative, which is dedicated to the creation of realistic anatomical simulators for training, testing, and education purposes.
Requirements
- design of 3D printed anatomical structures
- Prior experience with engineering/medical device design
- CAD software (SolidWorks)
- CT or MRI Reconstruction
- 3D printing
- materials science (polymers)
- anatomical knowledge
Responsibilities
- design of 3D printed anatomical structures
- documentation of surgical techniques
- gathering feedback by working with the Medical Education and Product Management teams
- design potential cases, such as a realistic rotator cuff tear simulator with repair structures
- Qualifying differing grades of synthetic polymers and design techniques intended on mimicking human soft tissues (muscles, tendons, etc.)
- Documenting the techniques intended to be executed on the simulator, and collecting feedback from end-users
- help contribute to the design process of said simulator
Other
- Co-op pursuing a Biomedical or related Engineering degree, or a Biological Sciences degree
- Enrolled as a full-time junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or Biological Science or a recent graduate required.
- Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
