Beontag North America is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive the development, scale-up, and optimization of pressure-sensitive adhesives and silicone-based formulations for our Graphics & Label Materials division.
Requirements
- Expertise in physical and analytical polymer chemistry techniques and data interpretation
- Five (5) years pressure-sensitive or adhesive coating technology experience
- Familiarity with polymer characterization, coating technologies, and process simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead scale-up of products by leveraging coating process and adhesives formulation expertise.
- Develop new pressure sensitive adhesives using scientific methodologies and principles.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction by optimizing raw material usage, improving process efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize silicone-based formulations to enhance performance, reduce variability, and ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes.
- Apply scientific methodologies to distill fundamental learnings and principles governing material and product performance
- Offer subject matter expertise related to gravure coating of adhesives
- Design products fit for manufacturing on gravure coating technologies with a focus on quality
Other
- Degree in Polymer or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science or corelated areas of study.
- Approximately five (5) years of experience working in manufacturing or production environments, with regular interaction with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Production, and Quality.
- Experience in leading cross-functional development projects

- Support site safety requirements and work in a manner to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
