Requirements
- Experience with CAD (Solidworks preferred) and 3D printing.
- Hands-on problem solver, results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize objectives and meet timelines.
- Please include project samples or a portfolio that includes CAD images or prototype photos of past class projects, personal projects, or intern work.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to the product design team by bringing sketches to life through CAD development, mechanism design, and rapid prototyping.
- Prepare prototypes and participate in product testing with children to validate ergonomics and play value.
- Collaborate with engineers in the U.S. and overseas through email and conference calls to products are designed for manufacturability.
- Create product Bill of Materials to communicate design details, gather cost information, and evaluate the carbon footprint of our products.
- Execute in-house mechanical and electrical testing of new product concepts in our QA lab, then summarize data and share findings to drive decisions and improve product quality and durability.
- Evaluate products returned from retail partners and perform root cause analysis to recommend potential areas of improvement.

- The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ grade point average.
- Self-motivated, proactive, capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
