The Product Consultant V will drive strategic initiatives, facilitate leadership discussions, and lead ideation sessions to shape the future of their organization and the communities they serve.

Responsibilities

  • Develops product strategy for a market, product type or product line of business (LOB) in addition to performing regular ideation sessions focused on building a robust product pipeline to achieve market goals.
  • Applying an advanced understanding when driving performance for their respective market, product type or product LOB, its competitors, their performance and shortcomings along with KP product performance.
  • Brings the organization together to perform product feasibility on any initiative, product type or portfolio.
  • Defines and executes the development of the product or initiative through executive alignment and influence for implementation, providing cross-functional service recovery and issues resolution, as assigned.
  • Acts as the product authority to the organization, S&AM, and outside consultants to enable a high degree of sales and customer support and serves as a subject matter expert and consultant for multiple markets, LOBs, products, portfolios, workstreams, or initiatives.
  • Writes and develops for complex business-development initiatives.
  • Drives the development and maintenance of their market, product type, or product LOB requirements and ensuring they meet the needs of the market, members, and KP objectives.

Other

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading matrixed teams with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in health care, product development and management, strategy development and execution, finance, sales and account management, marketing, consulting, benefits, program management, or a directly related field OR minimum eleven (11) years of experience in health care, product development and management, strategy development and execution, finance, sales and account management, marketing, consulting, benefits, program management, or a directly related field.
  • Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; builds relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Listens, responds to, seeks, and addresses performance feedback; provides actionable feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership and mentors junior team members.
  • Practices self-leadership; creates and executes plans to capitalize on strengths and improve opportunity areas; influences team members within assigned team or unit.
