QVC Group's Home Product Development team needs to align product placement with the Sourcing factory base to meet customer demands by offering high-quality products at the best value.

Requirements

  • Product development and sourcing experience across multiple home classifications
  • Understanding of relevant systems such as PLM; Microsoft Suite, string Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sourcing Manager in delivering clear product development briefs and directions to QVC offices and suppliers directly and to Sourcing Specialist – Home and QA Direct Sourced Home support team for all product development needs.
  • Use market trends, buyer input, sales performance and customer metrics to improve home products developed to enhance margin and customer experience.
  • Negotiation of pricing, delivery and approval of product samples are primary responsibilities.
  • Manage sample development process.
  • Through daily email and PLM communication with our offices, agents, and direct suppliers, build relationships with our sourcing partners to ensure implementation of QVC procedures, adherence to QVC T&A's and proactive identification of issues that could influence the business.
  • Partner with Product Development Manager and Shanghai based team, as well as agents and direct vendors to ensure seamless development processes are in place and maintained.
  • Review all costing data for accuracy.

Other

  • You have a bachelor's degree and five years business experience in retail environment or minimum of 3 years of direct sourced experience in the home classifications – hard home experience.
  • Categories will include Seasonal, Hard Home Décor, Garden & Garage and Designer Lifestyle Brands.

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
