Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is seeking a Product Engineer to evaluate machine center value stream and lead lean manufacturing and processes. The role involves optimizing machine center processes and flows, supporting new designs, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues to improve quality, efficiency, and cost.
Requirements
- CAD, 3-D modeling, assembly creation, drawings and GD&T.
- Design of tooling and fixtures
- Design for Manufacturing methods and techniques
- Formal problem analysis and resolution
- Enterprise/Manufacturing Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) systems.
- MS Office– Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Familiar with and able to work in MS Project.
- Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, routings, process specs, tooling requirements, and inspection methods.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness for new designs and documentation approval.
- Interface with machinists, operators, inspectors, and supervisors to support shop floor operations.
- Apply Lean principles to implement standard work, point-of-use tooling, optimized material presentation, and process improvements.
- Design and develop automated test fixtures, assembly tools, and manufacturing cell layouts (tooling, equipment, and machinery).
