Requirements
- Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills
- Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams
- Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
- PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.
- Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.
- Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
- Create clear and concise reports to present analysis and support technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
- Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
- Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues.

- Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment
- On-site Flex work location model with 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location
