Moog's Space Sector of the Space and Defense Group (SDG) needs a Product Engineer in Mechanical Product Engineering to contribute to a major program with high visibility in the group, specifically with experience in EMAs (Electronic Mechanical Actuators) to design and manufacture systems for space travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with EMAs (Electronic Mechanical Actuators)
- Experience in the aerospace or other regulated industry
- General knowledge in the areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and Analysis
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute programs and deliver space-rated hardware to the customer.
- Provide direction to Technicians as well as coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering to maintain high integrity products.
- Contribute to the analysis, design, development, and test of complex hardware used on commercial and NASA vehicles.
- Identify and execute plans to improve cost and schedule on development and production programs.
- Lead failure investigations to determine root case and implement corrective actions.
- Generate technical data, reports, and procedures for assigned programs.
- For production programs, serve as technical focal point for internal and external customers.
