General Carbide is looking to solve the problem of creating accurate technical drawings and 3D models for custom tungsten carbide parts, while also developing and improving production processes to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar required)
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as machining, grinding, assembly, or fabrication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Associate degree/certificate in CAD/Drafting with relevant experience
- Knowledge of GD&T principles
- Experience with 3D modeling and CAD design
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for carbide tooling, dies, and components in compliance with engineering standards.
- Translate engineering concepts and customer specifications into manufacturable designs.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain drawing files, revision history, and part documentation in line with company procedures.
- Develop standardized work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by designing and validating production methods.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and provide engineering solutions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or an Associate degree/certificate in CAD/Drafting with relevant experience
