Garlock is seeking a Product Engineer to support and sustain their oil seal products, ensuring product quality, performance, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle. This role will address production challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience with tool design and familiarity with manufacturing processes required.
- Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD software and engineering documentation tools.
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9000, QS 9000, APQP, or equivalent.
- Value engineering and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create and update CAD drawings for both standard and engineered-to-order oil seal products.
- Design and maintain tooling drawings for manufacturing aids such as fixtures, molds, and jigs, ensuring alignment with production requirements and product specifications.
- Maintain accountability for all engineering documentation, including product and tooling drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and routers.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and contributing to process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing product performance, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
- Review and analyze design input requirements to support updates and improvements to existing oil seal products.
- Utilize standard engineering processes, tools, and documentation systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical discipline preferred).
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
