Design and develop new products that meet the needs of customers for a leading automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer and supplier.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of filtration technology, including media performance metrics such as efficiency, capacity, dirt holding capacity, pressure drop, and service life
- Experience defining tests and testing criteria to validate product designs
Responsibilities
- Define product specifications and requirements based on customer needs and market trends
- Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs and ensure that they meet performance requirements
- Review and approve supplier drawings to ensure compliance with design standards and specifications.
- Coordinate and manage sample review and approval processes, including physical measurements and testing to validate conformance with approved drawings.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize product performance and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support product development and quality control processes
Other
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in product engineering, preferably in the automotive aftermarket parts industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing.
