The Home Depot is looking to solve the problem of managing and supporting private brands engineering projects, including product requirement development and resolution of product performance concerns.
Requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a field of study related to the job
- Product costing experience
- Extensive understanding of Bills of Materials
- Knowledge of Merchandising Financial terms
- Knowledge of INCO shipping terms
- Experience working in a manufacturing and/or product development environment including design for reduced Manufacturing and Assembly costs
- Ability to use costing software such as Boothroyd Dewhurst DFM/DFMA
Responsibilities
- Engineering project management including product requirement development, and test protocol development
- Conduct financial and value based calculations, summarize the findings for the business in presentation quality format and communicate findings to key stakeholders
- Complete resolution of product performance concerns
- Provide general product Engineering guidance and knowledge or evaluations as required to deliver short term business goals

- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
- Must have a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
- Must have 2 years of work experience
