Esri is looking for a Product Engineer to help shape the future of Indoor GIS, defining how organizations transform their business using Indoors GIS for space management, safety and security, asset management, indoor navigation, and more.
Requirements
- Experience with Esri product such as working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and/or Online
- Working on a software development team developing a software product using an agile process like Scrum
- Working with CAD (Autodesk) and/or BIM (REVIT)
- Experience in the Facility Management or AEC GIS space
- Software testing and writing test plans
- Authoring user assistance help
- Authoring Scrum user stories to define feature to develop
Responsibilities
- Work with the Product Owners and Product Managers to help establish software backlog needs, priorities, and define release themes in ArcGIS Pro, web services in ArcGIS Enterprise, and in various web and mobile applications
- Create and execute test plans that cover acceptance, N-path, and ad hoc testing; build and manage testing datasets, regression test and certify software before release to the public
- Author and provide technical review of user guide documentation for accuracy, completeness, and usability
- Author Scrum user stories and define mockups of rich user experiences that define new feature capabilities to guide the software development process
- Demonstrate software capabilities at iteration and stakeholder review meetings, capturing feedback into product backlogs
- Support the product at conferences like the Esri User Conference, answering questions from users and demonstrating software capabilities via presentations and individual interactions
- Serve as point of contact and collaborate with software engineers on acceptance criteria for features being developed
Other
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, information systems, IT, geography, computer science, or STEM related field
- Being a Scrum Product Owner and/or Scrum Master
- Building scanning technologies and approaches
