Esri's mission is to develop ArcGIS Solutions that help agencies maximize their investment in location-based data and technology. The Product Engineer II – Utilities will collaborate with customers, industry teams, and other product development team members to design, develop, and support geospatial solutions for electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater and telecommunications agencies.

Requirements

  • experience applying ArcGIS to support specific industry workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to document and build GIS workflows
  • Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python or Arcade
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro and configuring web-based GIS applications

Responsibilities

  • Discover customer needs and craft geospatial solutions that cater to the electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater and telecommunications industries
  • Configure ArcGIS apps, tools, and information models for industry-specific uses
  • Provide input into product design aspects to assure our products are simple to use and provide a great experience for our customers
  • Work closely with customers, software development, business development, and professional services teams to define and develop solutions
  • Draft and review ArcGIS Solutions product briefs, presentations, and documentation
  • Design and author test cases for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability; execute both manual and automated tests, analyze test results, and report results
  • Continually assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing ArcGIS Solutions

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the utilities, infrastructure or telecommunications industries
  • Creative problem solver and a team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in geography or related field
  • Knowledge of utility data management, asset management, and related utility workflows
