KBR's Defense and Technology Solutions division is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing and production processes for systems, equipment, and components used in Department of Defense programs, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met while adhering to DoD standards.
Requirements
- Currently has or working towards bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering or a related field
- Experience with the Air-to-Ground Missile Systems (AGMS) product office
- Knowledge of DoD standards and regulations
- Strong understanding of defense systems and operational requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet program requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with DoD standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve production methods, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
- Provide engineering expertise to resolve technical issues during production.
- Collaborate with design and quality assurance teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure production processes comply with DoD regulations, such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810, and ISO standards.
