Microchip Technology Inc. is looking to add an intern to their product engineering team in Bend, OR, to work on high power devices, including debugging and programming MCUs, and analyzing test results.
Requirements
- Exposure to programming (Python, C, LabVIEW, etc...)
- Basic PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to interpret electrical schematic
- Electrical Soldering
- Ability to perform basic mechanical assembly (screw drivers, drills, wrenches, etc...)
Responsibilities
- Debugging and programming an MCU
- Compiling a variety of test results into a single spreadsheet for further analysis
- Hands-on lab work
- In-office work analyzing and organizing test results
- Basic mechanical assembly (screw drivers, drills, wrenches, etc...)
- Electrical soldering
- Interpreting electrical schematics
Other
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program and has reached the Senior level, or is actively pursuing post-graduate studies in a related discipline
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
