Howmet Aerospace Inc. is looking for a Product Engineer to support manufacturing through process control, improvement initiatives, and assume direct responsibility for the integrity of assigned products at their Plant 10 - Whitehall Casting Operation. The role aims to improve profitability by developing and implementing appropriate plans, reducing waste, and enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Plans and formulates engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
- Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
- Supports activities concerned with technical development, customer issues, cost reduction programs and in resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
- Provide technical support for assigned coating, brazing and/or manufacturing area of assignment.
- Performs process quality investigations, as required.
- Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
