Cummins Inc. is looking to solve the problem of efficiently testing and validating engine and after-treatment components to ensure high-quality products.
Requirements
- Knowledge of engine/after-treatment (AT) components and validation/testing
- Experience running test rigs for endurance and performance testing
- Understanding of gas layouts, pressure regulation, and flow line switching
- Basic knowledge of ATS component validation, testing, and automation scripting
- Familiarity with test data acquisition and calibration processes
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance
- Basic knowledge of computer operations, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Assist in testing as per established procedures and methodologies
- Prepare test articles, fixtures, rigs, and equipment for testing
- Perform test stand installation, troubleshooting, setups, and equipment maintenance
- Conduct equipment calibration and ensure accurate data acquisition
- Develop and load automation scripts for experimental setups
- Manage test system assembly and teardown as required
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper function of test rigs
Other
- High school diploma or equivalent in a relevant STEM field
- An associate’s degree or regionally applicable certification may be required
- Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be necessary
- 2-3 years of experience in engine, engine component, or system-level testing
- Ability to work in shifts and manage lab operations effectively
- Proactively identifies and improves workplace safety
