Subaru is looking to solve the problem of launching new vehicles and vehicle technologies to ensure competitive advantage in the automotive industry

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to transfer analysis into a go-to-market strategy as well as interpret and analyze large amounts of data
  • Ability to translate technical details into consumer-facing language
  • Negotiation skills and contract management experience
  • Strong understanding of and interest in the automotive industry and products
  • Excellent project management, time management, organization, and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and handle a large workload

Responsibilities

  • Plans, leads, and coordinates Subaru of America’s (SOA’s) marketing efforts for new vehicles and vehicle technologies
  • Develops the new vehicle go-to-market strategy and coordinates with the Marketing agency
  • Oversees implementation of go-to-market strategy by multiple SOA teams within and outside of Marketing
  • Manages inter-departmental coordination to develop product launch plans and ensure integration of marketing communications across multiple functions
  • Conducts strategic research alongside the agency and analyses before product launch to determine product positioning, target customer profiles, threats and opportunities, and messaging to achieve marketing and sales objectives
  • Collects and analyzes launch results and metrics to optimize future launches
  • Develops and oversees marketing strategy for brand- and model-level awards from entities such as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), Kelley Blue Book (KBB), MotorTrend, Car and Driver, and Consumer Reports

Other

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain and enroll for approval by internal risk management to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Travel Required: 15%
  • Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
