Mueller Water Products is looking to solve production issues and maintain efficient operations by hiring a Production Lead who can oversee daily operations, train employees, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Read blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Basic computer skills including the use of Office Suite and email.
- Previous use and understanding of an MRP system.
- Advanced math skills with the ability to understand measuring/measurement concepts and their applications.
- Familiarity with basic and advanced tools of measuring and when to use for inspection of parts.
Responsibilities
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
- Perform quality control checks and verification of work order specifications.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions.
- Assist in RCCM (Rout Cause, Counter Measure) process to resolve production issues.
- Give guidance and direction as needed to meet production line goals including tracking of production schedule for the area.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts in pass off procedure by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing operational needs, as well as communicating issues or irregularities to appropriate team lead or supervisor.
- Maintain appropriate operational documentation, including production and quality logs.
Other
- Act as a first point of contact for all area employees regarding issues and questions related to your department
- Maintains a high degree of morale among employees of their department identifying and flagging potential employee relations issues.
- Provides regular reporting and updates to supervisors and managers as requested.
- Raises safety concerns pre-emptively and ensures area PPE and safeguards are in use appropriately.
- Routes employee relations issues appropriately and timely. Reports any policy violations, unsafe activity, or activity that falls outside of the Mueller code of conduct.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate at various levels within the organization.
- Strong personal commitment to safety standards in industrial and/or manufacturing environments.
