Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking to solve the problem of managing meter data for their Gridscale X Meter Data Management software portfolio by defining the vision for next generation of meter data management systems and shaping the overall product and partnering strategy.
Requirements
- Experience with leading decision making and managing stakeholders to resolve competing priorities between customer needs, business needs, and resource constraints
- Experience writing logical, detailed, and complete product requirements and functional specifications
- Developing and effectively communicating a product vision, strategy and roadmap
- Translate business strategy into tactical plans and willingness to own execution to completion
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum
- Experience with product management tools and technologies
- Experience with data analytics and reporting
Responsibilities
- Define the vision for next generation of meter data management systems and help shape the overall product and partnering strategy
- Synthesize market research and customer needs to set a strategic direction and priority for product(s) and identify innovative ideas to incorporate in product(s) roadmap
- Collaborate with Sales to understand application sales pipeline, probability, timing, business impact and customer requirements as input into the product roadmap
- Build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions
- Own the release planning and management process for the application
- Prioritize customer enhancements based on input from customer population, business and commercial impact
- Author product specifications, inclusive of use cases, activity flow diagrams, screen mockups, identification of data sources, analytics, reporting, and integration requirements
Other
- Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, QA Engineer, Sales Engineer, or related role
- Alternatively, a Master’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field of study and 4 years of related experience
- Approximately 10% domestic/international travel required
- Remote work permitted
- Ability to work with stakeholders to resolve competing priorities
