TGS needs a subject matter expert in seismic data and GIS to guide decision-making, ensure data accuracy, lead project management for DM 2.0, and drive process improvements within their data management initiatives.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of complex data structures.
- 5+ years working with seismic and GIS data in a technical or product-oriented role
- Thorough understanding of internal database structures and operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure MC data follows DM standards
- Facilitate regular conversations and status updates with all stakeholders for MC data
- Lead Dataverse demonstrations
- Lead Dataverse projects
- Bring forth issues and potential solutions to the DM leadership team
- Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the DM team while forming and upholding relationships.
- Ensure timely and correct MC data client deliveries
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Geophysics, Geology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related Earth Science or Data Science field or master’s degree in Geoscience, GIS, Data Management, or related discipline.
- Adept in analyzing complex information and translating it into actionable procedures.
- Adept at addressing and resolving critical issues promptly.
- Ability to convert user requests into actionable deliverables for development teams including creating usable workflows
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with all organizational levels and external vendors/partners.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
