Charles River is seeking a Product Manager to manage its assigned portfolio, oversee the lifecycle of offers, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in market analysis to drive new offerings/services to support commercial performance.

Requirements

  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to gain a deep understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance.
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize product strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Assess market demand.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, analyze competitor products, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Working knowledge of computer software (MS Word, MS Excel and databases) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned products in RMS portfolio, including oversight of the lifecycle of existing products, identify opportunities for improvement, and make strategic decisions about product offerings.
  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to gain a deep understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion by conducting market research, gathering customer feedback, and assessing market demand.
  • Advocate for customers, gather feedback and insights to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, analyze competitor products, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, messaging, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate product launches, ensuring successful product introductions and adoption in the market.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in life sciences or related discipline.
  • 5 years related experience.
  • strong analytical skills, market awareness, strategic thinking, and effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to influence resources/staff without direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
