The Director of IT Product Development for Workplace Solutions & Commercial Applications (WPS) at Suddath needs to oversee the development and implementation of technology solutions, specifically focusing on the Telescio and Data platforms, to connect business objectives with technical execution and manage the product lifecycle for WPS projects.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of the agile product lifecycle and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of relevant automation, robotics, and integration technologies.
- Expertise in Agile processes, instilling best practices in large teams.
- Experienced in process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in product commercialization & software-as-a-services (SAAS) preferred.
- Ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS, timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.
Responsibilities
- Define, own, and communicate the strategic vision and roadmap for the product suite, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and future growth opportunities.
- Lead a team and prioritize the product backlog, overseeing both the development and deployment of new features, system enhancements, and integrations with enterprise platforms.
- Drive market and user research initiatives, maintaining a deep understanding of commercial operations, industry trends, robotics, process automation, artificial intelligence and customer needs to inform feature design and long-term strategy.
- Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into scalable, robust technology solutions.
- Monitor and communicate progress to stakeholders, providing executive-level updates, risk assessments, and plans for critical project milestones.
- Oversee product release planning and system upgrades, setting stakeholder expectations for delivery timelines and change management initiatives.
- Continually analyze business processes, gather operational requirements, and recommend enhancements to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
Other
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Certification in Product Ownership, PMP or Agile methodologies preferred.
- Experience working with distributed and remote teams, as well as direct client engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence.
