The company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee operations at their production facility, aiming to streamline processes, manage personnel effectively, and achieve production goals efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards, such as OSHA
- Solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management
- SAP HANA experience
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules and customer demands are consistently met
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure all products meet or exceed established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve production issues to prevent defects
- Utilize methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
- Uphold stringent adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA), promoting a culture of safety throughout the plant
- Develop and manage production staffing requirements for direct and indirect labor, and control production expenses
- Oversee the picking and replenishment of production material to all production areas
Other
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including supervisors and production staff. This includes training, evaluating performance, and resolving employee issues
- Work closely with other departments, including manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality, planning and sales, to ensure seamless operations and strategic alignment
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture that promotes teamwork, open communication, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
- Lead by example in upholding company values and creating an environment where employees feel respected and motivated
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
