NBCUniversal is looking to enhance its direct-to-consumer digital properties, including NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, and NBC Entertainment, by improving data management, content workflows, and system scalability to deliver a better consumer experience.
Requirements
- Proven Product Management experience, preferably working on CMS platforms or a mixed role of Developer / Product Manager
- Strong understanding of technology platforms and how data flows between applications
- Understanding of media production workflows, digital video product workflow
- Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., APIs, HTML/CSS/JS, etc.), content management systems, and experience with Taxonomy and API
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyze complex requirements, data sets, processes, and systems
- Solid understanding of application integrations with technology partners such as Yahoo, Apple, Google, Amazon, and MVPD integrators like Charter & Xfinity
- Ability to quickly understand and operate comfortably within complex ecosystems
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
- Write, prioritize, and accept product user stories
- Partner with the Design/UX, Engineering, PMO, Editorial/Operations, and Product Marketing teams on projects and work closely with them to ensure product specifications meet their needs, understand current challenges, identify opportunities to innovate and improve
- Plan and perform analysis of content management processes and guide the subsequent design and implementation or improvement
- Developing and ensuring timely delivery of data products to internal and external clients, including data science teams, content management systems, digital streaming systems, and media distributors.
- Collaborate with other members of the product team
- Develop and nurture relationships with external platform partners and technology vendors
