Dixon is looking for a Product Manager to understand consumer and customer needs, translate them into product specifications, and manage product lines to meet financial goals and improve profitability, processes, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Be the Internal Expert at applying Dixon Capabilities to Consumer Needs.
  • Knowledgeable in best practices and product management methodology
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, with an orientation to details, at both the strategic and executional levels.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Dixon and company wide capabilities (manufacturing, outsourcing), and ensure that customer Critical to Quality metrics are reflected in finished product.
  • Conduct and document Competitive Analysis of products.
  • Lead product line maintenance, including item set up, forecasting support (sales responsibility), and coordination of internal systems requirements, ensure costing up to date, make pricing recommendations.
  • Lead marketing segment of PIF process for SKUs within assigned product categories.
  • Lead SKU rationalization efforts, working collaboratively with the Director of Marketing.
  • Deeply understand our business, industry, and customers; translate needs into business and technical requirements, product plans and user stories by partnering with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Implement products that are customer specials, PL or OEM, within scope of marketing plan.

Other

  • Understand consumer and customer-required level of quality for assigned product categories.
  • Work with appropriate internal functions / departments.
  • Take lead for specifications and pricing.
  • Relays and adapts Canson global brand strategy to the North American market place while ensuring a global consistency.
  • Help to develop an integrated marketing plan working with the rest of the Marketing Team and Sales.
  • Support sales objectives with product training.
  • Understand product assortment (Canson and competitive) at key distributor accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Account Managers and other Product Managers to expand placement of Canson products.
  • Support marketing activity at key distributor accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Account Manager for trade advertising/promotions based on individual distributor accruals/allowances, within scope of marketing plan.
  • Be involved in Retail Specific requirements as appropriate to assigned product lines.
  • Support company-wide initiatives as directed to improve profitability, processes, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify gaps and contribute creative and innovative ideas that drive business value.
  • Manages assigned product lines and marketing responsibilities to meet or exceed the key financial goals set for the position and the Marketing Group.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to organize thoughts, communicate clearly, completely and concisely.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • A strong portfolio of completed work that illustrates strong “solo” results as well as collaborative efforts.
  • Ability to stay flexible and agile in fast paced and ever changing work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and drive results.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Product Management or Marketing related field.
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Business, or related experience.
