Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineering
  • Proven critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of marketing concepts/market research
  • Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Technical role experience related to the Product Segment being led
  • Prior experience on IoT, Smart Grid and/or Telecom companies are considered differential, as well as Embedded Software management
  • Formal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete product lifecycle of the assigned products
  • Contributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs
  • Supports R&D feasibility/traceability reviews
  • Works on complex business cases
  • Works with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and Training
  • Presents to Executive Project Governance Boards for stage gate reviews and Change Controls

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ to 5 years of experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking
  • Ability to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationship
  • Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company
