ABB is looking to solve the business and technical problem of defining product portfolio strategy, multi-generational product development plans, including marketing communication, training and sales initiatives for Medium Voltage Apparatus products within the Electrification Installation Products division.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Development and/or Sales in related markets
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Components NA market
  • Demonstrated experience in managing marketing and sales strategy
  • Knowledge and experience of Excel, Powerpoint, SFDC and SAP
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Drives the profitability and life cycle for Connectivity & Grounding product lines (includes Blackburn Mechanical & Grounding, Application Tooling, Russell Stoll and supporting lines) by defining pricing guidelines and market position, and forward-looking product development plans
  • Responsible for maximizing Gross Margin dollars for the above product lines, optimizing the price/margin/share/sales equation
  • Supports inventory levels and sales volumes to ensure ability to meet customer orders, while tracking and analyzing the performance and trends of responsible Connectivity & Grounding lines
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to propose and evaluate product feasibility projects and roadmaps, including Multi-Generational Product Plans and Cost Reduction Initiatives for Connectivity & Grounding Product Lines, following the Sr. Product Manager’s vision for the portfolio
  • Ensures ABB’s value proposition for the target segment is developed and well communicated (internally and externally).
  • Guides, coaches, and develops the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
  • Actively participates in the development of international standards and regulations by identifying and influencing the appropriate external bodies (including government, legislative bodies, technical and trade associations).

Other

  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A BS in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • Current US license valid in US and/or US related permit
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for ABB
